THE BRIEF
To retain and respect the history and character of the historic 175 year old Briars, while at the same time building a brand that showcased the evolution of the venue into a thriving and contemporary regional institution.

THE CHALLENGE
In 2021, the venue was under new ownership of experienced operator Mel East and had just been renovated and restored to reflect the classic elegance of the Inn’s original style. We were engaged to create a visual identity that built on the rich history of the local icon, while at the same time reflecting the evolution of the brand’s food & service offering.The brand needed to reflect the shift in demographics in the area and appeal to the gentrified tree changers moving in along with day trippers and holiday makers, who were all seeking to experience the venue’s history and rural charm along with an outstanding food, drink, and hospitality offering.
